I've managed to glimpse Shy Heathwrens in Kamarooka State Park a few times but photographing them was another matter.

On this occasion I quietly remained at a spot where I'd caught a glimpse of one and was rewarded an hour later with glimpses of a pair as they passed within a few metres of me.

They are cautious birds and seldom venture into clear view.
